LI Golf Academy Philosophy:

The LI Golf Academy summer program offers instruction, practice and play activities designed to give juniors the necessary knowledge and experience to become lifelong golfers while nurturing their enjoyment of the sport itself. Improving the playing ability of the junior golfer is our primary objective. In addition, the Academy stresses the concept of total youth development - social, physical, emotion and mental - throughout the program.

The Red Course is formerly the home of The Commerce Bank LI Classic on the Champions Tour and has hosted the Bouchard Transportation MET PGA Senior - Junior.

The course was established as a Nassau County Park in 1944 and was renamed in 1969 for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. In recent years, the Red Course (the former home of Champions Tour - Long Island Classic) as well as the White and the Blue have been brought back to tournament standards with new irrigation systems and continuous improvements to the greens and bunkers. Many have said that the Red Course may be the "best kept secret" in the municipal golf circuit.
